We take frontline clinicians into schools across Scotland delivering our unique violence reduction education.
Our Educators – who are from a range of healthcare professions – visit young people in secondary schools and youth groups to deliver our violence prevention message. They teach young people about the risks and consequences of violence, using their medical knowledge and experience to help dispel myths. We have doctors, nurses, paramedics, dentists, psychiatrists and more volunteering for us. All that we ask is that you have some first hand knowledge of the effects of violence.
We’re always looking to hear from more clinicians who are interested in getting involved – there’s no commitment for your time and training is provided, along with accreditation for CPD portfolios.
If you are a student and would like to volunteer please contact the student society on this email mavssoc@gmail.com
If you believe prevention is better than cure, we’d love to hear from you.
