MAV Interns

A peer education programme for senior secondary school pupils designing and delivering violence prevention lessons.

About MAV Interns

MAV Interns is a peer education programme aimed at senior school pupils. Over 5-6 lessons, or over one full school day if you choose, with support from Medics Against Violence volunteers, senior pupils will design their own violence prevention lessons to deliver to junior pupils in their school. Senior pupils gain knowledge and skills and take a leadership role in keeping the whole school safe. Junior pupils get a strong violence prevention message delivered by their older peers.

We can provide MAV Interns visits to schools within Scotland but if you are located elsewhere and you’d like to give this a go with your local medics, this site contains all the resources you’ll need to get going. We are also happy to provide remote support.

MAV Interns has its own website which you can access here
