We are all delighted that Rachael and Gerry our Youth Navigators working in the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow have made it to the final of the Youthlink National Youth Work Awards in the Health and Wellbeing category.

The service has supported over 300 young people since it started in late 2021 and has made a positive impact on the lives of many of them.

One young person supported by Rachael and Gerry said

‘I appreciate what you’ve both done for me giving me someone to talk to and someone who won’t invalidate my feelings and genuinely help me is something I’ve always wanted’

The service is also hugely valued by our NHS partners and they commented on the work Rachael and Gerry do

Everyone at Medics against Violence will be cheering Rachael and Gerry on when the winners of the awards are announced on the 12th June in Glasgow.
