We have an exiting opportunity for someone not currently in work to undertake a 6 month part time work placement with us as an Administrative Support Assistant. You will work 3 days a week at our office in the East End of Glasgow alongside a supportive team.
The Paid Work Placements programme is delivered on behalf of Glasgow City Council, in partnership with Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS). Glasgow Chamber of Commerce will be supporting participants through the process of securing placements. Other partners include Enable Scotland, CEMVO Scotland, and Move On.

The eligibility criteria for the post are below
Aged 16 – 67
Unemployed and not currently in education
Have barriers to employment such as having a disability, being in a racialised group, care leaver, criminal convictions, lone parent or being homeless and no or limited work experience.
Glasgow City Council residents only.

We have some opportunities for Sessional Navigators and Youth Navigators across Scotland. We’d love to hear from you if you have experience in the support work field and perhaps some relevant learned experience of your own.
Our Navigators and Youth Navigators work in our Emergency Department based services across Scotland. You would work between the Emergency Department and with individuals in the surrounding communities. Our Navigators are support workers who support patients with a range of issues that bring them into contact with the hospital, this includes but is not limited to addiction, violence, mental health concerns, homelessness, domestic abuse and rape and sexual assault. Experience of one of these areas of work in either a professional or learned experience capacity would be an advantage along with a relevant SVQ. If you are applying for a sessional Youth Navigator Opportunity you must have youth work experience. Our work is patient centred and trauma informed.
Salary scale: We pay an hourly rate on or above the Real Living Wage (£12 an hour), depending on experience

We are seeking a Youth Worker to join our team in Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
The aims of the Youth Navigator programme are to improve wellbeing, engagement, and life chances for young people aged 12-16 who present to hospital with complex social issues. Those who engage with the programme will be supported through a hospital and community outreach youth work model. Based in the Emergency Department at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and working there and in communities across Aberdeenshire, you’ll work a part of a team of two alongside the clinical teams, and with a wide range of community partners. The project will be carried out in partnership with NHS Grampian and is funded by CORRA.
We are looking for an exceptional youthworker with experience of working with young people and an understanding of the youthwork approach, a proven ability to work in partnership with vulnerable young people, and the capacity to form effective working relationships with a wide range of partners and agencies.
